Launched in December 2019, the Air Jordan 14 Retro from Nikes Doernbecher Freestyle collection commemorates Ethan Ellis, a hospital patient and designer of the sneaker. Rendered in black nubuck, the shoe salutes his beloved TCU Horned Frogs, featuring metallic blue panels and dual-toned laces and tongue tabs. The right heel sport a 6, marking his heart surgeries, alongside a space needle graphic on the left. Translucent rubber outsoles adorn a heart-rhythm pattern for that symbolic touch.
